The Project "Bridging Tourism through Cultural Heritage and Smart Solutions in Lezha and Gjakova" is a joint initiative implemented by Lezha Municipality in partnership with Gjakova Commune and Creative Business Solutions (CBS) in the framework of the IPA Cross Border Programme between Albania and Kosovo with the financial support of the European Union. The objective of the project is to accelerate tourism development of Lezha and Gjakova regions through increased diversity and quality of touristic offer by unveiling cultural and historical wealth, resulting in increased attractiveness of the Cross Border region and a growing number of tourists. Outputs of the project include: 1. Two museums (Archaeological Museum of Lezha and Museum of Crafts in Gjakova) are constructed, furnished and artefacts housed. 2. A new joint tourism offer made available in the Cross-Border area for wide use of domestic and international tourists. 3. The new touristic offer being used by domestic and international tourists in the Cross-Border area. 4. Supported cultural heritage sites in the Cross-Border area by digitalized infrastructure to provide better experience for tourists. 5. Visibility of the new tourism offers and destination is achieved.
